Walk a Mile a Day in May

Did you know, a mile takes approximately 20 minutes to walk? It may not be as far as you think! It is around 2,000 steps. Why not challenge yourself to Walk A Mile A Day in May?

Plan when you are going to walk (before or after work? Or a lunchtime stroll?) and you’re more likely to stick to it. Why not challenge a friend to walk everyday? You could walk together virtually or have a socially distanced walk. Or take your family out for a quick walk every day.

We are passionate about encouraging inactive individuals to move a little more and for them to take small steps towards a realistic goal.

We would especially like to see those that have to shield during lockdown to take on this challenge as a way of getting back out on a regular basis.

We Are Undefeatable is a national Sport England campaign which encourages individuals with a long term health condition to move more. Walking a Mile a Day can help where the level of exercise you can do is limited.
