Whilst it is imperative that we follow the official government guidelines, it is also important to remain active, as it can have many vital benefits. We need to maintain our physical wellbeing but it is also crucial to support our mental health.
Whilst observing social distancing protocols, it is possible to build activity into our daily routines, e.g. going for a run, walk or bike ride, and also doing home workouts. Leisure centres are also starting to open, and lots of instructors are offering outdoor exercise classes, with limited capacity.
Sport England’s message and our message is to stay active – do it safely, do it locally and enjoy doing it differently.
Return to Play – Wesport have the most up to date information with regards to making the transition from lockdown to returning to play. There is lots of guidance and advice available here.
